On Task Managers
My todo/task app recently crapped out on me.
One minute it was working, the next it crashed every time I tried to launch it.
It was fixed with a simple reboot, but in the panic of losing the one app that my entire life depends on, I discovered that it is no longer maintained, and no longer exist in the app stores. So, it's only a matter of time until a reboot won't do the trick.
I've grown to depend on Simpletask and todo.txt. Nothing comes close Simpletask's implementation of todo.txt and barely anything even supports todo.txt (I need my plaintext).
In my mad search to try and find something that could possibly replace the perfection I'm loosing, I realized something.
The only task is to be.
I waste a lot of energy managing and doing random tasks that, at the end of the day, remove me from the present moment.
So, maybe the answer is to give up todo lists and live in the moment...
That being said... maybe this is the perfect time to really give org-mode a try...
