Allegiance to Truth
Recently, world renowned TikTok sensation Hank Green posted a video observing the truthfulness of Elon Musk's most recent tweets.
At the end, Hank says that he believes Mr. Musk has an allegiance to something other than the truth.
Allegiance to Truth.
I find this concept to be very clarifying.
It is a clear, and fairly simple litmus to decision and opinion making in our society.
One needs to simply examine whether someone is in allegiance with truth to determine the level of trust we place in them.
Someone who is not aligned with truth needs zero of our faith, zero of our attention.
We live in a world of so much noise and confusion.
I find truth allegiance to be a simple filter for determining what is worth giving my time and attention to.
